Virtual Edition

October 20th, 2021 9 - 10AM PST

For 19 years, the YWCA’s Women for Racial Justice Breakfast has been a space and experience that has brought people in the Pasadena community (and beyond) together for deep learning and an invitation to action to advance racial justice. Continuing the rich tradition and legacy of the YWCA Pasadena, this year’s virtual event will be shaped around the theme of Truth, Healing, and Transformation, and will be emceed by Emmy Award Winning News Anchor, KTLA’s Cher Calvin and feature a keynote speech by world renowned poet Nikki Giovanni.

At YWCA, we demand a world of equity. We envision a world of opportunity. We commit ourselves to the work of racial justice. We will get up and continue to do the work until injustice is rooted out, until institutions are transformed, until the world sees women, girls, and people of color the way we do: Equal. Powerful. Unstoppable. We are proud to be recognize the 2021 YWCA Women for Racial Justice honorees who have made significant advances in eliminating racism and empowering women:
